Walking as Controlled Falling
Three channel video collage. Micro and telescopic perspectives linking natural, technological and historical events. A study of trespassing, bodily limits and suspended animation.
(Louise Ørsted Jensen): Through an experimental and often collaborative practice, Louise Ørsted Jensen (born in Denmark 1993, lives and works in London) revolves around the relationship between well known concepts such as nature, humans and technology. In a blur of autobiography and fiction, her practice explores the agency of the individual in a world of constant change, and navigates perceptual boundaries through participatory performance, installation and video. Her work has been shown internationally including at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz Austria (2018), TEI Stockholm, Sweden (2019), and at Thesmoforia Art Festival, Copenhagen (2019).(Luis Tapia): A multi-disciplinary artist who finds it difficult to differentiate fiction from reality. Often uses narrative to explore the transience of meaning and authenticity. He suspects we have all been here before.
