My queerness has always felt more-than-human; inseparable from my animality. I feel my most queer when the pads of my feet are on the earth. Another world is possible: one in which we do not sever ourselves from our own wild, impulsive, irrational selves and then punish those qualities wherever we find them intact in others. One in which we celebrate our critter-ness and welcome ourselves at last into the glorious web of our multispecies kin.

Vita is an illustrator-artist living in Cornwall, UK. She has an interdisciplinary practice which spans visual art, writing and research. She is interested in celebrating qualities that have typically been feminised and consequentially undervalued or dismissed - emotionality, tenderness, fragility. She is also a lifelong vegan, and her fierce protectiveness of other creatures is often present in her work.
